Today’s simple lunch!
It’s rainy and gloomy so I decided to make Buchimgae! (Korean savory pancake, “Jijimi (Chijimi)” in Japanese.)
I had calamari, shrimp and lots of green onion so, started making “Seafood Buchimgae”! Another name of it is “Haemul(seafood)-Pa(green onion)-Jeon(pancake)”
YAY~!!
What a perfect meal for a cold rainy day! 🙂
While I’m making the seafood pajeon, I was thinking I want a hot soup to go with it. and I just remembered that I have frozen mussels in my freezer!!
So quickly start working on the soup!
Ingredients & Directions
Make 6cups dashi stock, (Click here for how to make dashi – https://www.seonkyounglongest.com/#!essentials/vstc17=dashi ) add 1 pound frozen mussels and bring to boil; add 2Tablespoons sake (rice wine), 2Tablespoons salt, little of black pepper. Simmer for about 5 to10 minutes. Ladle the soup into individual bowls, garnish with chopped green onion and crown daisy, serve warm.
I bought frozen mussels from Walmart about $4!!!
Man, I love Walmart. ….sometimes! lol
And here is what we finished the day with!!
My hubby’s Mac&Cheese~!!
Yeah, we were watching “The Big Cheese” on Cooking Channel, and it was about mac and cheese!
lol I said I want some of that, and my hubby just stood up and made it! WOW! What a lucky wife I am?! lol
Great way to finish a day like this, and I’m not cold anymore! 🙂
