First Attempt
Hello everyone, this is my first attempt at not only a blog, but cooking and even talking about it. I’m one of those people that are pretty good at cooking, but only have about 5 things I do well. Most of the time it will cook out of a box.
Seonkyoung and I thought this would be a great idea to keep you guys interested and entertained. The plan is to follow some of her recipes and just post what I’m eating while she is gone. I think this will benefit everyone for a few reasons:
1. It gives me something to do so I’m not bored to death
2. It helps me police the food that I’m putting into my body
3. Keep you guys reading and following
4. I’m going to so how anyone can really cook these recipes, and just good food
Alright, so far Seonkyoung has been helping me over the phone a little and I haven’t followed just her recipes. This is because I haven’t had the time after work, and she hooked me up with some prep food. I had pizza dough and marinated short ribs to get me started for the first couple of nights.
That’s not cheating. At least I don’t think so.
Ok, so let’s get started……….Beef Short Ribs
Looks great I know. Even I was surprised These were the marinated Beef Short Ribs. The YouTube link below is for braising them, but I wanted to grill them. The marinate is the same though. I sauteed some fresh spinach in olive oil and salt, and served over Jasmine rice.
Soooo Delicious!!!!
This was the plate afterwards. I think I liked it a little.
What do you think??

It’s so great that you are cooking and posting.
I think it helps timid cooks get motivated seeing someone else try recipes.
I am pretty adventurous and have tried several of Seonkyoung’s recipes. I still have to try short ribs again, my first try was in the over and the heating element broke so I ended up with burned to a crisp ribs. I have a new oven now though.
Seonkyoung has definitely inspired me to do this. I have also been blessed by being able to eat such amazing food I had to do something for myself while she is away.
Thank you for your support and kind words!
Keep trying those recipes too. The best part for Seonkyoung is when people can make and enjoy her food!
Great job Jacob. My wife tries to do my recipes as well and she does a great job. I’ll teach her more of my korean secrets one day.
