I cook a lot.
That mean is I’ve got to taste a lot too.
I haven’t gained weight much since I started cook, but I gained since I started living in the states.
When I was living in Korea, if it’s only 10 to 30 minutes away by walking, I did walk and I used to ride bus and subway to go somewhere far (Witch is still lots of walking if you don’t have your own car).
But since I moved to the states, I go somewhere by car and don’t ever even have to walk longer than 5 minutes to get somewhere. Get in the car from the house, arrive my destination, park and walk less than 5 minutes to get into building. Everywhere (at least where I live) works that way. – It works perfect when I dressed up really nice though. lol
Eating vegetable is harder than Korea too.
Of course Korean food is very healthy and even though you don’t try or thinking about it, you eat lots lots of vegetables while you eating Korean food. One of my favorite part of Korean food, YAY!
So when I eat and serve food to my hubby I always trying to remember balance. But the hardest thing is travel. To be very very honest with you especially visit my family in-law. Every time I travel, I have to fight with/for food. They eat lots of vegetables too. But only two ways. Cook in butter or bacon and salad.
It’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just very different than how I eat my vegetables. Don’t give me wrong, I LOVE their food. I’m just so used to eating vegetables every single meals, every day, lots of it at least a couple of different kinds. I guess my mom spoiled me too much. lol If I had kimchi it would be a lot easy to eat other food too. lolol I’m totally Korean. lol
Korean girls are beautiful and very skinny. If you go shopping in Korea, they don’t make any bigger size than Large. You can find X-Large if you are lucky. If you need bigger size, you have to go big size clothes store.
Korean large size is not even same large as American’s large size. I used to wear large in Korea.
But here? I wear small to medium. In Korea, with my foot size (8 US), I have to be lucky to find a shoe store (Women shoe store) sells that size. They carry until US size 7.5 and if you have bigger foot that that, always have to special order for a beautiful pair of shoes. (It was like that until I left Korea, 2009, I don’t know if they have changed or not) So go to shopping in US to me was heaven! lol
Anyways, (I start talk talk talk, I talk too much! lol)
I do love my life in US. I love girls who working out. In my eyes, girls with nice lean muscles are beautiful.
I want to be one of them.

FIGHTING !!! =D
Aja! Aja!
Good luck! I wish you the best, I am training for a 10k run with my sister next month. I like to eat very healthy too but like you say the ease of getting from point A to B makes it easy to gain some weight. As I have gotten older it becomes easier to put on some weight and harder to keep it off when I love food so much. But I am glad that I could go shopping in Korea for clothing (and shoes) sometimes I am sad when I find something here but it is too big. I really like shopping the little girl section at Target (cute Sanrio clothing).
I can run 5k. I didn’t like running at all but now I just love love love running! <3 When I run, I've got to have my running music, with out it, I have very hard time to run. lol What is your favorite running music?
I like music with a nice fast beat. Like techno, sometimes I like music with good lyrics and I sing the songs in my head as I run. It makes the time go by faster and it motivates me. I didn’t like running before either but now that I have the right shoes and good music I love it!
I love running with punk rock. Especially the offspring. Ah, when I listen their music I feel like I have run as fast as I can! lol I guess right shoes and good music is the key of the running! 🙂
You are the best! Keep believing and have fun while you get fit. As long as you’re healthy, you’re gonna be okay. Love your work, Seonkyoung!
Thank you!!! I will have fun as much as I can!! 😀
