I just made this simple pork fried rice and salad with yum yum sauce for lunch!
My hubby comes home for lunch everyday and I really love and enjoy cook for him everyday♥
I went bed really late last nigh, because I was watching Korean drama through hulu, and I couldn’t stop watching it! lol I was watching “Cheongdamdong Alice”, it is so funny! If you like Korean drama, you need to check it out! Oh, and of course, “I miss you” too. Actually my hubby and I are watching “I miss you” together, it is very interesting drama! I love Harry so much♥ Those two doesn’t have the end episode yet, they are still filming in Korea right now! HOT!
Anyways because of Korean drama, I went bed really late and of course slept late too.
So I had to make our lunch really quick, like in 10 minutes!
I knew I have cooked rice in the refrigerator, so I decided to make whatever fried rice. What is more than fast Asian food like fried rice, right?!
I saw one slice of pork steak all by himself in the refrigerator, it looked so lonely. so I decided to use in my fried rice.
I diced it into 1/2 inch cubes, it was about 1 cup.
Garlic, ginger and onion are fried rice trinity. The ratio is,
2 garlic : 1 ginger : 5 onion
Chop all of them finely.
Heat a wok over high heat, add 1 tablespoon grape seed/peanut/canola/veg oil.
When the oil is smoking, add fried rice trinity all once.
Stir quickly so you won’t burn it!
When it’s fragrance, about after 1 minute, add diced pork, pinch of salt and pepper.
Stir-fry until all the ingredients are golden brown and pork is cooked.
At this point, I started fry eggs. I start from a cold pan, so it will takes a bit longer to cook, so I don’t have to baby sit them while I’m making fried rice. Cook egg as your desired doneness. Don’t forget to season with salt as well!
This is what you are looking for! Now we are ready to add rice. It took about 2 to 3 minutes on high heat.
Using cold rice is give you better result some how, they absolve flavor better than freshly cooked warm rice.
I added 2 cups cold rice and 3 Tablespoons soy sauce.
Mix it until it really well combined and evenly coated with soy sauce.
Taste if it is enough soy sauce for you, if you need more add it now.
Serve with fried egg on top and some salad for nutrition.
I serve with crunch ice burg lettuce and my yum yum sauce over! 🙂

I have the same spoon you do!
I love fried rice; any kind is good. I used to be scared of fried rice but it is so versatile. You can put anything in it! My favorite is cilantro fried rice with a squeeze of lime at the end. YUM!
That sounds yum!! One of my favorite rice is cilantro lime rice too! 😀 They are the besties!!
