When our family was visiting Biloxi MS to see Jacob’s dad and step mom,
I got a small message from one of my “Asian at Home” follower and Asian food lover, Yustina.
She said, she lives in Biloxi so we should meet up.
So the last day when we are leaving from Biloxi, we has a short lunch together, and had a good time. ^-^
She told me a Asian market in Biloxi and I got my napa cabbage $0.45 per pound!?!
It’s cheapest napa cabbage price I’ve ever seen. I was so happy!! ^-^ More kimchi for me! lol
I made white kimchi for my friend and myself, and it turned out great!
For my white kimchi recipe, click the link below! ^-^
After big shopping at the Asian market, we met a Vietnamese restaurant to have some pho! ^-^
This is what Yustina ordered. Looks sooooooooo goooooooood~~~~
And this is what I ordered. I never tried pho with meat balls, it was good.
They gave us a dipping sauce witch is awesome, I liked it better than dipping in hoisin sauce.
Delicious!!
This is what my step daughter ordered, lemongrass chicken.
She said it was a bit spicy but pretty good. She finished it except big onions. ^-^
Oh, and she said the pickled carrot and radish taste like kimchi. lol I said probably because it tastes sour.
After she finished the dish, her lips turned out yellow, it was so cute!
I think because of tumeric in the sauce.
While we are eating our lunch in the cool restaurant, my hubby was waiting on us in the car because we brought our 2 boys (Doggies) to the trip and we couldn’t figure out what to do with them?
The weather was so hot to leave the boys in the car, so my hubby was staying with them whole time.
Thank you so much and I love you Jacob! <3
After the lunch, Yustina told me about the Vietnamese bakery where sells delicious banh mi, so we went there too!
^-^
This is only one picture I have from the Vietnamese bakery.
They have this traditional Vietnamese dessert and also beautiful pastries, fresh baked baguette, loaves and various types of banh mi.
I wanna go back there so bad already!
I can’t wait!!!!
Thank you so much Yustina for coming lunch with us, we had a wonderful time with you.
After we met, on the way home in the car I was thinking, why I didn’t ask Yustina more about traditional Indonesian and Chinese cuisine. 🙁 But I hope we can meet next time again, so I will ask you more about it!
I will look forward to see you again! ^-^
