Dalgona Coffee

Dalgona Coffee, Magic Coffee, Cloud Coffee, Whipped Coffee… Whatever you call it, it is GOOD!

Dalgona Coffee, Magic Coffee, Cloud Coffee, Whipped Coffee… Whatever you call it, it is GOOD!

So, this coffee has been viral in Korea after quarantine time because everybody got bored at home. Lol Then it got viral again on Tik Tok, and it is world-famous coffee now.

This coffee has so many names… I called it magic coffee. Korea calls it Dalgona coffee because it tastes & looks like Korean candy Dalgona. Some call whipped or beaten coffee… whatever you call it, it is just delicious, better than your imagination for sure!

The critical ingredients for this recipe are instant coffee. Any brand works, so you don’t have to use what I used. Use whatever instant coffee you have in your hand. Not sure if drip coffee will work. Never tried. If you do, please let us know comment below if it works or not!

Combine instant coffee, sugar, and hot water in a large mixing bowl.

Using hot water helps the instant coffee and sugar to dissolve faster.

Ok, this is when the magic begins. Whip with a hand mixer starts from low speed and slowly increases the speed to high. You can use a whisk and do it by hand, but… it will be a lot of work! lol

Dalgona Coffee

Whip it until it’s foamy and soft, pick, about 5 minutes.

Fill up a glass with your choice of milk 3/4 way with or without ice.

I highly recommend drinking this coffee cold to enjoy the most of the texture. Hot milk will melt the frothy coffee too quickly.

Top it up with frothy whipped coffee.

I love enjoying this coffee by itself, but if you are making it as an afternoon snack or breakfast, serve with croffle!

Coroffle = Croissant + Waffle

You can guess what it is by the name… croissant dough cooked in a waffle maker! So simple and easy!

Just place your favorite croissant dough (if it’s frozen, thaw it first) on a preheated waffle maker.

I got this mini waffle maker from Amazon!

Cook the croffle for about 2 minutes, or until golden brown on each side and fully cooked. Drizzle some maple syrup and dust with powder sugar to your taste.

Croffle

Enjoy!

I’m not completely sure, but I’ve heard from other people that have used other sugar alternatives and turn out just fine.

I made only half the recipe and used instant espresso and powdered monk fruit. It made so much, and it was delicious! Thanks for the recipe.

First try of this recipe, and it came out way too strong for my taste. Idea is good though, and it was good after adding milk to the foam, which of course made it less stiff. Maybe I’ll just use less coffee next time I make this
