My 2 Favorite Unique Cranberry Sauce Recipes!

I love cranberry sauce, including the canned one. But when I made my first homemade one, I’ve never looked back. Freshly made homemade one is the BEST!! Only if you know how to do it with the right amount of ingredients & flavor.

Today, I will share my absolute favorite cranberry sauce recipe, not 1 but 2!!

One, Sweet and Spicy Cranberry Sauce. Two, Yuzu Cranberry Sauce.

I love sweet and spicy one for my Lemongrass Turkey, it’s fantastic!! Also Yuzu cranberry sauce goes amazing with my Korean Glazed Turkey. It’s fragrant, sweet and tangy… Ah, delicious!

Let’s get started before we get too hungry!!

Let’s start with Sweet & Spicy one.
You will need 1 cup of freshly squeezed mandarin juice. Yes, you can use Cuties too. I like to use freshly squeezed juice, I think it makes a huge difference.

Now, combine 12 oz of fresh cranberries, mandarin juice, 1 cup of sugar and 2 to 3 chopped Thai chili in a saucepan.

Bring it a boil over high heat then reduce heat to medium to medium low and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Let it cool completely before serving. I like to garnish with a Thai chili so people know this sauce includes Thai chili. 🙂

Alright, now let’s jump into Yuzu one!

For both recipes, the cooking method is same.

Combine 12 oz fresh cranberries, 1 cup honey citron tea (Yujacha), 1/2 cup sugar and fresh juice from 1 lime or lemon.

You can find honey citron tea easily at your local Asian grocery stores. They are made to mix with hot or cold water to make a drink, but there are so many other ways to use this citron tea! It’s made with yuzu (yuja), has a beautiful fragrance and is so delicious!

I LOVE these ideas for cranberry sauce! I would really like to give some jars of this as a gift. How long could it be stored in a sterilised jar?

I would say the cranberry sauce would last 1 to 2 months without being opened. But once opened I would keep it in the refrigerator. Hope this helped (:
