Egg Fried Rice Recipe in 3 Minutes

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • 2 cups of cold Jasmine rice
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp Vietnamese seasoning (or 1 tbsp of soy sauce, fish sauce, or oyster sauce)
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Vietnamese Seasoning:

  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp MSG (optional)

The most important part!

Combine cold rice, eggs, and Vietnamese seasoning in a mixing bowl.

Cold rice is the best choice for making fried rice because it separates easily and absorbs all the flavors much more. Jasmine rice is my favorite type of rice to use for making fried rice; its texture is perfect, and I love the fragrance.

You could use soy sauce, fish sauce, or oyster sauce to make this egg fried rice. You can substitute 1 1/2 tsp Vietnamese seasoning with 1 tbsp of any of the sauces I mentioned.

Heat a wok or a large skillet over high heat, add cooking oil, and swirl to coat. Pour the rice and egg mixture, stirring constantly. If you prefer your egg fried rice to be juicy, you can cook it for only 1 minute. If you prefer it crispier, cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
