Good Morning!
When I was young, I didn’t eat much breakfast but as I aged (yes, I’m 34!) I love eating breakfast and it became one of my exciting event of the day. 🙂
Every morning after drink a cup of coffee, “what’s for breakfast today?” is my first question to solve. lol
Sometimes I want traditional Korean or Japanese breakfast.
Sometimes I want smooth and sweet breakfast.
Sometimes I want something filling & slightly heavy Western style breakfast.
Sometimes I want healthy, light & refreshing breakfast such as green smoothies.
So it’s really what kind of mood I am, I eat different breakfast almost everyday.
Lately I’ve been craving bagel for breakfast.
So when I went Costco (gotta love Costco!!), I bought 2 bags of bagels. (You have to buy 2 bags in Costco)
My all time favorite is “everything bagel” & “cinnamon raisin bagel”.
One for my savory craving and one for my sweet/mild craving.
The bagel recipe I believe Costco makes and sells is from Einstein Bros’ bagels, which is very very popular bagels & coffee chain in U.S.
The amount I’m getting from Costco is quite much since only Jacob and I are in the house and we don’t eat bagels everyday. So when I buy them, I take all them out and cut all of them in halves. Then place back to the original bag and freeze them.
Just thought you guys might want to know my super cute SMEG Toaster!
It’s expensive, but totally worth it!!! Look how adorable!! lol
This way the bagels are ready to toast right awy and I can keep it for up to 5 to 6 weeks and enjoy freshly made bagel taste!
When I want sweet, I just take cinnamon and raisin bagel and spread cream cheese or chocolate spread.
When I want some savory, I take everything bagel and make avocado bagel just by toast them, top with a whole avocado, salt, pepper and lemon juice.
It also great with green onion scrambled eggs, which is in a skillet, melt butter and add green onions- let them slowly caramelized over medium low heat then pour beaten eggs to make scrambled eggs. Such a bomb!
Sometimes I ave some smoked salmon at home so I make simple cream cheese and smoked salmon everything bagel!
First, spread as much cream cheese as you want on toasted bagel.
(Yes, I love over toasted bagel! lol! Am I the only one??)
I love using nondairy cream cheese, because I don’t eat/like dairy much.
Then place some your favorite smoked salmon.
I also get this smoked salmon from Costco, (Trust me, it’s not sponsored post from Costco! I just love ’em!!) it’s perfect amount for Jacob and I when we deiced to eat smoked salmon “some some”.
Most of the time we eat as a salad, if you want to check out my go-to smoked salmon salad, check my Smoked Salmon Salad with Miso Dressing recipe out!
Oh, man, it’s a killer salad recipe!!
It even looks and taste so fancy, perfect when you are having guests over!
To finish the smoked salmon everything bagel, I simply sprinkle some hemp seeds, of course for the health benefits.
Also some micro greens right on top if I have some in the refrigerator, just for the look. Literally. lol!
Hemp seeds has so much protein, omega-3 and also great for your heart health.
No, you won’t get high by eating hemp seeds…
…Sorry. 🤔
I just enjoy this simple yet delicious breakfast.
Hopefully you get inspire to eat more healthy, delicious & variety breakfasts at home!
