Because it’s 99.9% cream cheese, 0.05% green onion or celery and 0.05% imitation crab meat.
So I thought, I can make it at home much better and full of crab! (It sounds so wrong..? lololol)
Anyways, I baked these beauties in oven instead frying. A bit less crunch to be honest with you, but makes you feel a lot better eating them. (Like 20 of ’em! lol)
So, here you go! My baked crab rangoon recipe!
Baked Crab Rangoon
Ingredients
24 to 28 wanton wrappers
4 oz. cream cheese
1/4 cup lump crab meat
1/4 cup chopped green onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Cooking spray
Direction
Preheat oven 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Coat it evenly with cooking spray.
To make filling, combine cream cheese and next 4 ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Place 1/2 teaspoon of filling at center of a wrapper, wet edges with water. Fold in half to form rectangle, pressing middle to seal but not the edges; pushing other sides in towards the center to create a four-pointed star. This way you can make pretty flower looking crab rangoon(You can simply seal by folding it in have in a triangular shape, no problem!). Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling, and place on lined baking sheet. It will makes at least 24 crab rangoons.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until it’s golden brown and crispy.
Remove from oven.
Serve with your favorite sweet chili sauce or my homemade Sweet Chili Garlic Dressing.
I hope you guys enjoy this simple and easy recipe at home!
Good luck in your kitchen!!
XOXO

I loved this recipe I have made it twice since you posted the video! I love crab rangoon when I go to restaurants too. I never imagined it was so easy. My first try was a little bit fail because I folded them a little wrong. But the second time they were perfect and I even took them to my sisters brunch party. 🙂
Can you fry them using this recipe as well?
yes you can!
