Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to introduce to you guys an awesome Oscar Sunday Party Food!!
It’s not only simple and easy to make but delicate and fancy taste & look!
Who doesn’t want their party food to look fancy and luxury! Right? 🙂
I got this idea from Sempio’s 5 minute cooking video.
She’s making with fresh sashimi quality salmon with Sempio’s ginseng black vinegar and soy sauce.
It looks so refreshing and luxury so I wanted to make for ourselves too!
But where I live, it’s very hard to find sashimi quality fish or any fresh seafood. It’s always upsets me as a cook but it is what it is. I wanted to try this recipe pretty bad, so I made with samoked salmon instead. Then I thought smoked salmon is easier to make this dish than fresh salmon for regular home cooks.
So YAY!! Another found!
If I can grateful about living in a small town of deep south, it never can be toward to ingredients. Because I can’t find what I need or want when I need or want. But I can be grateful about how many new ideas and recipes I came up with because of where I’m living. I HAVE to come up with new ideas to make it HAPPEN. I have to be very creative and thinking out of a box or have to choose to drive 4 – 5 hours away every week to go to a grocery shopping which is ridiculous.
I can’t wait to live in a big city again, and able to get whatever ingredients I need and I want!
Also more great restaurant options too, more than fried chicken or BBQ. lol
Don’t give me wrong, I LOVE southern food. I just can’t eat every day, every meal.
I’m an Asian girl, give me more various restaurant options, please! lol
So anyways comeback to the recipe. 🙂 I figured smoked salmon is a lot more saltier than fresh salmon so I adjusted soy sauce. I also added some dash of sriracha! 😉
I choose to use purple cabbage, red bell pepper, green onion and granny smith apple.
I cut it into very very thin strips so it will have very nice texture when you bite into it and also easy to roll.
I plated how she did on the video, which is so beautiful!
The sauce I made is Sempio’s black and blue berry black vinegar, soy sauce and sriracha.
If you having hard time to get black vinegar, you can substitute to balsamic vinegar.

So pretty isn’t it?!
Me and my hubby enjoyed it SO-MUCH!!
It’s so refreshing and delicate!!!
It is the perfect appetizer for the Oscar Sunday or any party!!
I will definitely make this when I through a party!
What is your favorite appetizer to make/serve at your party?
Thank you and Good luck!!
XOXO
