Hi guys!
Today I’m going to share one of my favorite ways to eat pork, Grilled Lemongrass Pork Loin Chop!
It is succulent, tender, juicy with mouth watering lemongrass marinade… Ah, nothing like Lemongrass Pork!!
Pork is used in many Asian countries, because the Asian flavor goes really well with the pork!
I love making this Lemongrass Pork when we are having a BBQ party, it’s really fun recipe to try!
Also if you have leftover, make Banh Mi (Vietnamese Sandwich)! Perfect!
Check out my Banh Mi Recipe!
In a glass jar, combine chopped lemongrass, shallot, garlic, Thai chili🌶, fish sauce, sugar, vegetable oil and black pepper and close the lid to shake it.
Pour half of the marinade on a baking dish and place pork loin and pour rest of the marinade, move around the coat it evenly.
Cover with a plastic wrap and marinate for over night.
You can do this in a plastic bag as well.
Heat a grill over medium heat (You can just cook it on a stove top or indoor grill too, follow the same directions).
Scrap off the marinate from the pork and place the pork on the grill.
Cook the pork until 145 degrees inside and nicely chard outside, about 10 to 12 minutes each side.
I highly recommend to use meat thermometer.
I used iGrill and regular meat thermometer, either one works perfect!
I really do loved using iGrill though, because it connects to my phone with bluetooth so I don’t really have to baby sit my pork, I can just check on my phone! lol Also it let me know as an alarm when it’s done!
When it’s done cooking on the grill, remove from the heat and let it rest for 3 minutes.
Meanwhile, we are going to cook the marinate. Pour all the marinate in a sauce pan with 2 tablespoons of water. Bring it to boil over high heat and let it hard boil for 1 minute. Skim all the scums as you go.
Make sure you pour the juices from the pork too!
Slice the pork chop and pour the sauce right on top.
If you like to, garnish with chopped cilantro and green onion.
Enjoy with a warm bowl of rice!

It’s an amazing recipe. I didn’t expect that taste. Yes, I have to admit, I did not turn out so appetizing, but very tasty.
Hi,
If you add few tablespoons of condensed milk to the marinade, it’s even better. Guaranteed 😊

I did not make this recipe BUT I did use the marinade 3 ways on a smoked pork butt that was brined in soy, lemongrass, and ginger. I mixed a 1/4 of the marinade with 1/2 a can of beer for my wrapping liquid, mixed another 1/4 with vinegar as my finishing sauce, and the rest straight up as a dipping sauce. My Korean in laws thought I was a culinary genius, so thanks for the inspiration!

It looks amazing!!
I have never made pork chops before or tried lemongrass but decided to try this. It is amazing! I could not find Thai chilies so I had to use serrano peppers but it was good spice amount for my smaller children. Can not wait to make them again! Thank you for the yummy recipes!!
I don’t eat pork( it did look very good though) will this be good on chicken as well
Can you bake this?
Yes you can! Just bake at 400 F and 15 to 20 min, but make sure to sear the pork beforehand!
Hi, I’m not much of fan of shallots. Will it make a huge difference in taste without it?
This looks amazing! I love lemongrass.
How long do you think the Marinade will last in the refrigerator? I think it would have so many uses!
