We had very delicious dinner the other night! ^^
I tried my new tool – Korean Stone Pot!! Oh, I cooked rice in there it tastes just AMAZING!! Even Jacob said he can tell how the rice texture can be different by using different pot. YAY! That’s my baby! ♥
It’s really same process with cooking rice in regular pot though.
Then I made steak salad and fried rice crackers. Normally in Korea, if you want the rice cracker like that, you need to cook rice, then form it and then dry it AND THEN deep fry it.. LOTS OF WORK! So, I was so happy to see these pre-made/ready to deep fry rice crackers!!! It looks white and dried rice, but when you deep fry it, it puff up! So cute! ♥
I made steak salad with Thai style vinaigrette. The green mixture is arugula, pear and cucumber. The pear was giving nice sweet flavor and extra crunch texture to the salad which was very very nice!
I made Thai vinaigrette with….
Palm sugar, white vinegar, fish sauce, 1 jalapeno, 1 Thai bird chili, 1 green onion and black pepper.
I didn’t measure at all, so I can’t writing down the measurement here, but whenever I make it again, I will do it!!
Another one, that I want to share recipe so, SO BAD is the pan-fried wild salmon with spicy soy sauce. It’s way too simple, but way too delicious with rice cooked in stone pot!!! ♥
But this one I thought it won’t turn out really good so I didn’t measure…. and I didn’t even expecting it to be delicious either, but it was!!! I felt so bad for the salmon.. I’m sorry salmon that I thought you won’t be great. lol
How I made the wild salmon..
I seasoned with salt and pepper both side of salmon, then pan-fried it. You need to cook salmon skin side down first, and cook until it 3/4 done. Then flip it over, cook about 1 to 2 minutes and you done!
I made sauce with soy sauce, sambal(chili garlic sauce), rice vinegar and mirin.
Anyways I would love to try again and share the recipes with you guys soon and hopefully it inspires you to cook some salmon and steak salad sometime soon, Asian at Home style!
