Korean spicy beef ramen!
If this doesn’t sound good, I don’t know what does in this cold weather!
Soak dried shiitakes in 2 3/4 cup of hot water.
Meanwhile, heat a pot over low heat and add sesame oil, green onions and gochugaru. Sauté for 1 minute.
Add thinly sliced beef and increase heat to medium. You can use chuck, skirt steak, shabu shabby/hot pot beef in this recipe. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes or until beef is 3/4 was cooked.
Squeeze the shiitake to get most out of the broth and pour the broth to the pot and stir.
Slice the mushroom real quick and add into the pot along with soy sauce and all the seasoning package from the ramen. Stir well and cover, bring it to boil.
This is the package of ramen I used. You could use any spicy beef flavored ramen but I was very inspired from this package so if you can find at your local/Asian grocery store please use this one!
Meanwhile, chop the garlic and beat an egg.
When the soup is boiling, add the noodles and cook for 2 minutes or until the noodles are just loosen.
Add chopped garlic and pour the beaten egg with circular motion. Place then beansprout right on top and cover, cook 1 more minute.
Serve immediately and enjoy with kimchi if you like!

Made this and it was delicious
Which Asian market do you find most of your products? I have been unsuccessful in finding most ingredients near home but I work in the Sacramento. I’d love to stock up on some basic ingredients to be able to make more of your recipes!
What kind of pot are you using and where do you get it? Is it only one size or are there other sizes? What size is yours in the video? Thank you
That looks delicious. EXCEPT: where do I find the spicy beef flavored ramen that you use? That comes with 2 packets, one with a dry seasoning mix and one with a paste? I haven’t seen anything like that where I shop.
