Oh! How much I LOVE green smoothie!!!
Our first met was last year around this time, one of my friend introduce me to this beautiful healthy delicious green smoothie in my life!!
People judge this delicious smoothie by the look and color, but don’t be a fool.
It’s so refreshing, sweet and makes you feel SO good!
I feel loved by myself when I’m drinking green smoothie, because I feel that I’m taking care of myself.
This is my favorite “Good Morning Green Smoothie” combination.
It wakes me up so much better than coffee (Believe or not! I’m a coffee-holic!), and gives me so much energy to start a great day and it fills me up so well!!
I’m trying to use organic and local product as much as possible. Because those are the best!!
Good Morning Green Smoothie
A hand full of organic baby spinach
1 medium size organic green leaf
3/4 small organic apple, skin on, diced
1 teaspoon ground flax seed
1 Tablespoon Drinking Vinegar*
1 Tablespoon local honey
1/2 cup water or organic apple juice
A few ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until it becomes very smooth and no chunks.
Enjoy it when it’s cold!!
*Drinking Vinegar – http://seonkyounglongest.blogspot.com/2012/06/korean-berry-drinking-rice-vinegar.html
I thought it totally make sense to add Korean drinking vinegar because drinking green smoothie is for healthy, so is Korean drinking vinegar!
It cleans your body, gives you more energy and keep you young!
It tastes so good, the extra sweetness and you can not taste vinegary taste at all!
Much better than drinking vinegar by itself! What a discover! YAY! ^-^
My blender doesn’t work well, so I’m using my food processor.
Actually my food processor works better than my blender. I guess I need a new blender!!!
Anyways, I don’t feel comfortable to ground ice in my food processor, so I just put ice in my glass.
It tastes so much better when it’s cold.
So make sure it’s cold when you drinking green smoothie.
In the morning, or brunch time at our back yard, drinking green smoothie is heaven!
I hope you guys enjoy it too!!!
Thank you! I will try this….Flax is so great for you too! I can’t have the spinach unless cooked so I will maybe try another green leafy…hmmm not sure what….but as far as the ice goes….an easy way to crush the ice is to put it in a clean cloth or baggie and tap it with a hammer or heavy pan and most of it will crush up….it will start to melt into the drink when you pour it in so just stir it with your straw as you sip it! <3
Thank you for your tip! <3 I use kale also, or you can use any kind of greens. Think about salad, we can use pretty much all kinds of green, right? ^-^
