I used to eat lots of oysters when the weather is getting cold in Korea.
Korean oysters are smaller size than American oysters but packed with lots lots of flavor.
We dip law oysters in “Cho Gochujang” which is add sugar, vinegar, sesame seeds in gochujang(Korean red pepper paste). I always add some sesame oil too. It gives lovely flavor to the sauce. It is very common sauce for law seafood in Korea.
I love it more than cocktail sauce, obviously. ;-b hehe.
My mom used took me to a restaurant or cooked for me this delicious oyster rice in winter time and it is one of my “Heart-Warming Foods”.
I haven’t had for a long time, I don’t know why. Probably because of I couldn’t find any fresh oysters to cook with.
I was so happy to eat this meal. Even though I didn’t have a right stone pot to cook with it. Who cares?! It tasted AWESOME~!! (*>D<*)
My mom probably is very proud of me right now!! lol
There are a couple different types of sauces that you need to eat with. My favorite sauce is shrimp soy sauce. It made with live shrimp, soy sauce, pepper and other seasonings. Yes, LIVE SHRIMP!!
Don’t you worry, whenever it is ready to eat, shrimp is not alive any more.. lol
Believe or not, it is very sweet and great flavor!!
But, I didn’t have it so I just made quick and easy sauce.
Soy sauce, sesame oil and seeds, red flakes, and green onion.
That’s it! 😉
